	WP 3: Expert system development The aim of WP 3 is to develop the Expert System which will facilitate the compliance with the Standards by the olive mills and table olives manufacturers. Task 12: Development of EQS compliance guidelines for the Case Studies In order to facilitate the adoption by SME olive mills and table olives producers’ of the EQS developed in WP 2, a series of guidelines will de developed by the RTDs, based on the Case Studies analysed in task 5. This will allow to develop guidelines based on real cases, taking into account the particular economic, environmental, legislative and other constraints. Task 13: Development of the Expert System, assessment and validation The guidelines developed in task 12 for the different groups of mills and table olives production industries and all the information compiled and assessed during WP 1 and 2 (including legislation, technologies, infrastructures, etc) will be integrated into an Expert System based on a software platform. The Expert System shall process input data of an olive mill concerning for example size, production capacity, type of process, operation periods, mass flows, environmental and legislative boundary conditions, etc. Deliverables WP 3 will lead to the completion of the following deliverable items: D11: Handbook with guidelines for the compliance of the EQS by the Case Studies D12: Expert system for supporting SMEs compliance with the EQS
